How to Duplicate Headers & Footers in KeaBuilder
Duplicating headers and footers in KeaBuilder allows you to quickly reuse existing designs without starting from scratch. This is especially useful if you want to:
- Create variations of your current header or footer.
- Test different designs while keeping the original version intact.
- Save time by using an existing structure as the base for a new one.
Follow the steps below to duplicate your Global Headers or Footers:
Step 1: Log in to KeaBuilder
- Begin by logging into your KeaBuilder account.
- Once logged in, you will land on the Main Dashboard.
Step 2: Navigate to Websites
- From the vertical menu on the left-hand side, scroll down and click on Websites.
- You will be redirected to the Websites section, where all your websites are listed.
Step 3: Access Global Sections
- At the top of the Websites section (in the horizontal menu bar), locate the option for Global Sections.
- Click on it to open the section dedicated to managing Site Headers and Site Footers.
Step 4: View Headers & Footers List
- On the Global Sections page, you’ll see two main areas:
- Headers (left side)
- Footers (right side)
- Under each section, you will find the list of all the Global Headers and Global Footers you’ve created.
Step 5: Select the Header or Footer to Duplicate
- Browse the list and locate the specific header or footer you wish to duplicate.
- Each item will have multiple action buttons associated with it (such as Edit, Duplicate, Delete).
Step 6: Duplicate the Header or Footer
- Click on the Duplicate button associated with the selected header or footer.
- KeaBuilder will instantly create a copy of the selected item.
Step 7: Review the Duplicated Item
- The duplicated header or footer will automatically appear in the same list (under Headers or Footers).
- By default, it may carry the same name as the original with a slight variation (e.g., “Header Copy” or “Footer Copy”).
- You can rename it or edit it further if you plan to use it in a different context.
✅ Pro Tip:
Duplicating is the best way to experiment with new styles, layouts, or branding changes without affecting the original version. This ensures you always have a backup of the initial design.
